I am getting to the point where I need to start thinking about what I am going to do with my life. Right now I am 17 years old, my birthday was a month and a half back. I have a job working at a diner near my house and I have an old pickup truck which devours all of the money I earn more quickly than I can earn it. I am looking at different jobs that suit my interests, but I do not think I can become a professional video game player. Stuff like web design is what I am looking at right now. I am wondering just how easy it is for me to get involved in that and how I can learn how to do it effectively. The big issue seems to be getting your product sold of course if you try to do it as an independent.
I sort of think it would be something you could do as a sideline, but not something that you could really depend upon. I mean that it is something I could do as a sideline, because obviously there are lot of people who can do it full time and earn a good living, but they are going to be really good at it and they will also have large scale organizations behind them. Actually designing great web pages would be pretty difficult, but then you have to get potential clients to know that you are good at it and that you can do the job for a fair price that will that benefits both parties. You really have to have some sort of organization behind you though, at least I would have no idea how to promote myself as a web designer and I do not want to do that at any rate.
